Thank you for visiting SK Counselling. You have taken the first step towards creating a happier and more fulfilled life for yourself.
I will accompany you on an exploration of self-discovery, and whilst you might initially find this challenging, I will support you in finding healthier ways of bringing peace to your life. It is a process but you don’t have to go at it alone.
Whilst you are likely to experience laughter and sorrow along the way, the richness of this experience will connect you to your inner-self, perhaps for the first time.
I am deeply committed to guiding you on this journey towards a brighter path.
Whist I normally offer 'face to face' counselling, right now I am working on-line via Skype and Zoom.
We will discuss what has brought you to counselling and the aim is to understand more about who you are and the challenges you face in your life.
Whilst my counselling style is non-directive, I encourage conversation without barriers.
Our aim is to focus on your emotional growth and I will help you to make sense of any obstacles that get in the way.
I want you to have an individual experience, where perhaps for the first time you feel heard and understood without judgement.
I am deeply committed to enabling you to strengthen your inner voice and accompany you on a journey towards a brighter path.
I provide non-judgemental, unconditional support as we make sense of the issues that have brought you to counselling.
I create an empathetic space, encouraging you to be yourself.
By sharing your story and uncovering repressed emotions, I will help you to explore healthier ways of being.
You are unique and there is no 'one size fits all' approach.
Our work together will be totally confidential, the details of which I will discuss thoroughly in our initial assessment.

20-minute consultation to ask any questions you may have and I will explain my way of working.
This will help me to understand what has brought you to counselling and how I can support you.

The next step is an initial one hour assessment, after which, sessions will be 50 minutes in length. This will provide an opportunity to assess how we might best work together. I want you to have your own unique journey of self-discovery.
You can then decide whether my model of working is right for you.
